Want to join a crusade?

Become a Condamine Crusader  ...and share in $10,000

Applications close 5pm, 30 November 2011

Condamine Crusaders is all about helping young people take positive environmental action in their school and community.
Groups can apply for a $500 grant to start an environmental club or $1000 for an existing group to carry out an environmental project at their school.

As a Condamine Crusader, you will encourage your friends and peers to create local solutions that help protect the environment.  You have the power to change behaviour, raise awareness and initiate positive action.

What do Condamine Crusaders do?

The possibilities are endless but here are some examples of what Condamine Crusader groups can do to generate enthusiasm in their community to act on environmental issues:

  • Host a BBQ or event to raise awareness and provide information
  • Building an edible garden with your school class
  • Promote recycling and cut down on waste at your school
  • Hold cooking classes on how to use fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Plan to reduce the school’s energy or ecological footprint
  • Create a green space in the school
  • Compost kitchen waste
  • Support students to undertake environmental training
  • Make a video or Youtube clip promoting environmental action
  • Create an environmental art piece for the school grounds
  • Run a photographic competition

Please note that special consideration will be given to environmental projects for schools with flood damage.
