Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery

The 2010/11 floods had a significant impact on the Condamine catchment landscape and agricultural industries; and a devastating impact on a number of individual rural families and businesses.

With the assistance of funding provided though the National Disaster and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) via the Queensland Reconstruction Authority Condamine Alliance will deliver a range of projects which aims to assist the catchment’s environmental assets recover.

Projects will roll out till 2013 and include:

Debris removal from the river
Streambank stabilisation and riparian restoration
Gully stabilisation (in the river)
Pest plant mitigation
