Weed Spotters Wanted!

Condamine Alliance is seeking weed spotters across the Condamine catchment.

Leaders from youth and community groups are invited to come along and learn about environmental weeds, how to identify them and report on new sightings. These skills will then be used skills to help their community group spot problem weeds in our catchment. By participating each community group can earn $500 + expenses for their group.

Places are limited so make sure you register your interest as soon as possible.

The weed spotting network helps inform regional weed control programs by spotting new weeds or new infestations of problem weeds like Blackberry, Chilean needle grass or Parthenium.

The training will be held in Allora on Monday 18 April 2011. Please RSVP to Rachael Pignat 07 4632 1252, 0434 269 726 or rachaelterry@bigpond.com.
