Condamine Alliance - Board of Directors

The Condamine Alliance Board of Directors is ultimately responsible for the governance and performance of the Condamine Alliance.

It consists of five community directors, four independently appointed directors and an independently appointed Chair. With its mix of community, science and business backgrounds, the Board has the experience and skills to ensure governance and advice can be delivered across all operational areas.

A rotation of terms of 2 and 4 years allows for corporate memory to be retained and for new skills to be introduced, depending on the nature of the company's business.

Current Board of Directors:

Cr George Moore, Dr George Smith, Ken Murphy (Chair Finance, Risk and Audit Committee), Barry O'Shea, Cr John McVeigh (Chair Business Development Committee), Owena Reimers, John Herbert (Board Chair) and Annie Pfeffer.

Company Members

The company was founded by 5 members of the Condamine community: Darling Downs Regional Planning Advisory Committee (DDRPAC - Local Government), Landcare, Toowoomba Regional Environment Council, Condamine Catchment Association and Condamine Balonne Water Committee.

In March 2008, the Queensland government oversaw the amalgamation of 97 local government areas and 20 indigenous councils under a statewide reform process. Following this amalgamation, the reason for the existence of DDRPAC was deemed to be irrelevant and has been ceased.
